Fendi is moving their Roman head quarters to the Palazzo della Civiltà. Co-designers, Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi mimicked this architectural marvel for the Spring 2015 runway set. This big step for Fendi melds the house’s long history and pushing the brand forward, just like the ensembles from Spring 2015. For this collection, Lagerfeld and Fendi designed clothes that meet at a crossroads between youthful and classic. Fendi staples like leather, fur, and billowing silhouettes were re-imagined in denim, fun prints, and slashed pieces. Fendi has always been the rebellious house in Milan, and their girl is even edgier this season. She parties in St. Tropez in patent bandeaus and stunning feathered minis. Lagerfeld has even given his band of “it” girls an orchid as an emblem for the club. As for accessories, the baguette and peek-a-boo are more vibrant and lust worthy than ever. I see bright things in Fendi’s future; including a new crowd of loyal followers.
