Lanvin just celebrated a huge milestone: 125 years of Parisian chic style. Creative director, Alber Elbaz, spent a lot of time in the archives to create his Spring 2015 collection. He infused founder, Jeanne Lanvin’s idea of natural elegance with his edgy, off-kilter taste. To bring the past and present together, I have pulled looks from Lanvin’s early collections and compared them with Alber Elbaz’s couture ensembles. The stunning accessories are a perfect display of merging the heritage and modernity of the oldest house in Paris. Feminine, yet strong; classic, yet fresh; simple, yet glamorous, these are the codes that Lanvin was built on. Whether its 1889 or 2014, Jeanne and Alber are true innovators and creative geniuses. Lanvin…here’s to another 125.
