Lady Gaga, Julianne Moore, Lily James, Jennifer Lopez, and Rosie Huntington Whiteley on the Golden Globes Red Carpet

Lady Gaga, newly stripped of her now infamous wigs and elaborate costumes, looked like a modern Marylin Monroe in an Atelier Versace masterpiece. Sensual in its simplicity- the gown still remained Gaga-esque with a sculptural hip element that gave the singer an edgy hour-glass shape. Never to be outdone, Julianne Moore showed up to the Golden Globes dressed in a dazzling Tom Ford number with the actual designer as her date. The two power players have kindled a wonderful friendship over the years, which explains why Ford designs such exquisite pieces for the red headed beauty. This statuesque column gown, beaded head-to-toe in a brilliant midnight blue, fit Moore to absolute perfection. Plush velvet details added to the drama, but by wearing her hair down, the actress somehow made the opulent look feel as effortless as a t-shirt. Clothed in a canary Giambattista Valli couture confection, Jennifer Lopez was undeniably the stand-out star of the evening. Yellow, as most red-carpet regulars can attest to, is extremely tricky to pull off, but she managed to do so fabulously by pairing her dress with tan skin and a maroon lip. Although the uber-chic cape covered the actress on top, J Lo wouldn’t be J Lo without her sexy slit. Add 200 karats of Harry Winston jewels and you’ve got a winning look. Leave it to a supermodel to show the actresses how its done. Rosie Huntington Whiteley, everyone’s favorite Brit beauty, radiated effortless perfection in an champagne colored Atelier Versace number. The body skimming silhouette and sphagetti-strap bodice gave the gown a negligee feel, while glitzy embroidery made it award show worthy.
